Turbine Bagh is a UK based platform working with artists and activists across the world. It focuses on human rights in India and Bangladesh and campaigns for the release of artists and political prisoners. The workshop will begin with a talk by Sofia Karim, after which participants are invited to come together to the make their own samosa packets & engage in discussions around a table of chai & samosas. The workshop will be hosted by Akshay Mahajan.
Sofia Karim is an architect based in London. Her practice combines architecture, visual art and activism. She campaigns for the release of political prisoners across India and Bangladesh. Her work has been exhibited at venues including Tate Modern, V&A, CCLM (Chile), India International Centre, and Documenta 15.
