The programme opens with a short film by Arjun Pandey, followed by a dramatised reading by ๐ง๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ ๐๐ธ๐ต๐๐ฎ๐ฟ from the book Kranti ka Sapna, a translation of Sujata’s book โThe Dream of Revolutionโ published by Penguin Random House.
Sujata Prasadย is a writer, columnist, curator and heritage conservationist. Her work and research interests cut across disciplines, intersecting with community health, education, rural livelihoods, and the visual and performing arts. A former civil servant who also did a stint in Bihar, Sujata is the founder and chairperson of Ahad Anhad, a forum for creative instigations. Her biography of Jayaprakash Narayan follows several other publications, the most recent being a long essay on Rahul Sankrityayan published in an edited volume by Harper Collins.
Ashutosh Bhardwajย is a literary critic, fiction writer and journalist. As a journalist, he has traveled across Central India and documented the conditions of tribes caught in the conflict between the Maoist insurgents and the police. He has investigated encounter killings, cases of political corruption and electoral malpractices. He is the only journalist in India to have won the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism for four consecutive years.
Tanwir Akhtarย is a senior theatre artist, director and cultural activist from Patna and the National General Secretary of the Indian Peopleโs Theatre Association (IPTA). Since 1979, he has been associated with IPTA and active in progressive theatre for over four decades as an actor, director and organizer. His notable productions include Juloos, Machine, Aurat, Poster, Kabira Khada Bazaar Mein, Rakt Kalyan, Gabar Ghichoran ke Mai and Court Martial which reflect his commitment to socially engaged theatre.
