Join us in the second iteration of the Indian Ceramics Triennale, titled ‘Common Ground: Where Our Truth Meets.’

Common Ground proposes an exploration of the ground, both metaphorically and literally. The ground upon which people gather is portrayed as uneven, marked by disparities in privilege, politics, motivation, experiences, and access to knowledge. Despite these divisions, shared humanity, common heritage, and a collective future bind everyone together.

In this iteration, artists seek to emerge from the restrictions of silos, creating a space for dialogue to investigate our multiple realities and generate ideas and possibilities for our materials in a free-ranging conversation. Art crosses between different mediums and disciplines, bridging the handmade and the technological, ancient traditions and modern expressions. Common Ground delves into what it means to work with clay today.
