Join us for a Hindustani Classical Vocal Performance by Sri Dhananjay Hegde accompanied by Sri Rakshanand Panchal (Tabla), Sri Siddharth Mesta (Harmonium), Sri Ashutosh Kharade (Vocal Support and Tanpura) on Sunday, 7 January 2024 at 6.30 pm.
Sri Dhananjay Hegde born in a musical family, is a Hindustani classical vocalist. Dhananjay began learning music at the age of four from his mother Smt. Geeta Hegde. His father Sri G.S. Hegde is a Tabla player and founder of a music Organization “SAPTHAK”, which is successfully promoting Hindustani Music in Bangalore and outside too. He was under the tutelage of Pt. Venkateshkumar for a short while and has been a prime disciple of Pt. Vinayak Torvi since 1989. One of the interesting aspects of Dhananjay’s music is the blend of Kirana and Gwalior Gharana, which he has imbibed from his Guru.
Sri Rakshanand Panchal is a disciple of Shri.Babi Ansurkar, Shri Surya Shetye, Shri.Ulhas Velingkar, Late Pt.Prabhakar Chari, Pt.Mohan Balvalli.He also had guidance from Shri Sharad Mathkar and Late Padmshree Pt.Tulsidas Borkar. He has performed at various places in India and has accompanied several stalwarts of Indian Classical Music.
Sri Siddharth Mesta started learning the harmonium from Sri Sharad Mathkar in his hometown of Vasco-Goa when he was around 12 years old. Developing a keen inclination towards pursuing music and taking it up as his profession, Siddarth moved to Mumbai to pursue advanced training in the harmonium from Pt. Sudhir Nayak.
Sri Ashutosh Kharade is a young and budding vocalist from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. He is a disciple of Sri Dhananjay Hegde since last 5 years.
