Curated by Ashok Vish under ‘Acts of Resistance’
About Aani Maani:
When the government announces a ban on beef, and the shutting down of slaughterhouses, it wreaks havoc in the family life of a lower middle class, Muslim kebab seller called Bhutto, and sends his world spinning.
Acts of Resistance:
In conjunction to Kaghazi Pairahan, an exhibition that weaves captivating stories and histories of resistance from South Asia, ‘Friday Films Showcase’ at Arthshila Santiniketan offers a line-up of films for six weeks, titled ‘Acts of Resistance.’ Each film offers a unique lens through which the struggles and triumphs of various communities are depicted, reflecting the face of defiance against oppression and the fight for justice.
