๐๐ท๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ต: A documentary on the art of Ajrakh printing and the textile artist Dr. Ismail Mohammad Khatri from Kutch region of Gujarat.
๐ง๐ฎ๐ถ๐น๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐: Annaji, Sridhar and Jaya are 3 tailors who operate in very different spaces of the city. Yet they share the same set of skills. They found ingenious ways to survive. This film traces those stories of self-respect and pride. The tailors are a tribe which contributes to the maintenance of the city and its people. They are omnipresent.
This film was shortlisted for The Nagari Film Competition 2021. The Nagari Film Competition is an annual competition by Charles Correa Foundation designed to guide and develop films that focus on urban issues, specific to Indian cities. Nagari intends to be a bioscope for the city, and through the lens, explore diverse urban conditions and engage with issues.
