Join us for a Talk by Suril Patel (Founding Partner, Field Architects) & Abeer Gupta (Director, Achi Association India) on Friday, 29 December 2023 at 5.00 pm.
The second year of activities at Phey, commenced with the activation of Palay House, in Phey and the mapping of the remaining parts of the old precinct, which was in ruins. The next phase aims to rediscover and develop the idea of commons, while identifying contemporary needs, reconnecting with erstwhile practices and elders. Future interventions in reimagining infrastructure around energy, water and waste and restoration of the village houses, opens the precinct for workshops and research. Situated at the intersection of material and ecological conservation, engagements are being created for students and practitioners from art, architecture and design. This presentation provides an opportunity to discuss ideas that have been developed and the work undertaken so far, as planned by Field Architects, for future actions and projects.
