“Beyond Definition”
What can a line do? How does a dot become a design? If one were to look at India’s aesthetic heritage, the design sensibility is fluid, sustained through various walks of life and its attendant activities, and has a deep, nuanced meaning. This talk by Dr Dimple Bahl, explores the interdisciplinary nature of the grid system and India’s rich craft heritage, while also posing the question of whether this can become design vocabulary that is uniquely Indian in tone while being global in nature.
