From bustling cinema tents to grand single-screen theatres and the arrival of multiplexes, Patna’s cinematic landscape has continually evolved alongside the city itself. Dastan-e-Patna Talkies brings together voices closely associated with some of the city’s most cherished cinema halls to revisit the stories, memories and cultural significance of these spaces.

Featuring Amit Sen (Diana Cinema), Gautam Singh (Rupak Cinema), Suman K. Sinha (Regent Cinema) and Anand P. N. Singh (Ashok Cinema), the discussion will be moderated by Rajiv Soni, Curator, alongside writer Arun Singh. Together, they will explore how cinema halls shaped Patna’s social and cultural life, preserving stories that continue to resonate across generations.
