Arthshila Santiniketan’s weekly film showcase this week features, Zu Weit Weg (Too far Away), in collaboration with Goethe Institut Max Mueller Bhavan. Directed by Sarah Winkenstette, the film revolves around two boys, Ben, 12 whose family had to move to the nearby city, because an open brown coal pit will swallow their village where he meets Tariq, an 11-year-old Syrian refugee. The two start out as competitors – at school and at the football club – but soon find out that they have more in common than they thought they would.
