The exhibition brings together six artists from peninsular South Asia — from Karachi to Colombo — whose practices foreground lived experiences. The exhibition offers a glimpse into the pivotal auto-narrative movement transforming subcontinental art ecosystems.
Shaunak Mahbubani (they/she, based between Berlin and India) is a curator-writer, exploring co-visioned futures grounded in non-duality and lived, ancestral experiences. Their work includes the multicity project Allies for the Uncertain Futures and collaborations with documenta fifteen, HKW Berlin, SAVVY Contemporary, and the 4th Lagos Biennial.
Rajyashri Goody is an artist whose research explores food and water politics, religion, mobility, and caste-based violence in India, particularly Dalit resistance. Her work spans multiple media and has been presented at major international platforms, including the Sharjah, São Paulo, and Busan Biennales.
