Akram Abdulfattah: Rivers from the East is a January–February 2026 India tour marking the release of Taqasim Kaman, a solo violin album exploring Arabic improvisation within the maqam tradition. The series features solo, duet, and ensemble performances, including the Indo-Arab Sirat Trio, shaped by improvisation and shared Eastern musical lineages.
Akram Abdulfattah is a Palestinian American violinist, composer, and producer whose work bridges Eastern traditions with contemporary influences from Western folk, jazz, and rock. His internationally acclaimed practice spans cross-cultural collaborations and projects, guided by a belief in music as a universal language and a means to share the depth and heritage of Palestinian culture.
Rupak Dhamankar is a Mumbai-based tabla artist who began training at four and has received major honours, including the All India Instrumental Competition and the Patravadi Theatre Competition in Thailand. He has performed with leading artists across India and abroad and is known for blending classical tradition with versatility.
