DETAILS
Date: 17 January 2026 | Saturday
Time: 6.30 PM Onwards
The session opens with Rajaram Naik presenting his research on Dashavatara, a centuries-old theatre form enacting the ten avatars of Vishnu. Using visual documentation, it explores lived realities, gendered performances, and the fragile conditions of the tradition, before closing with a critical reflection on preservation, authorship, ethics, and memory.
Rajaram Naik is a visual artist working with memory, myth, and rural life, focusing on Dashavatara and its changing visual forms. Across painting, sculpture, photography, and moving images, he examines how tradition shifts under contemporary spectacle and pop culture.
Multiform is a six-month series showcasing Goa’s interdisciplinary art practices across image, performance, sound, research, and digital forms. Through performances, presentations, and conversations, it foregrounds process and dialogue while offering an early view into ideas shaping the Goa Open Arts Festival 2026.
Goa Open Arts, founded in 2019, is an artist-led initiative that supports and energises Goa’s creative community through festivals, exhibitions, grants, mentorships, and public programs.
