Vidushi Saniya Patankar began learning classical vocal music at the tender age of six. She has since performed in over 1000 cities across India and abroad. Her approach to Raaga is aesthetic, expressive, and intellectual, and she demonstrates versatility in singing various musical forms such as Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, Ghazal, Natyageet, Bhavgeet, Bhajans, Abhang, folk, film, and fusion music. Saniya possesses a seasoned and flexible voice, delivering ease and grace across all three octaves, with clear diction and a strong command of rhythm and complex taan patterns. Her gayaki particularly shines in Sargam Geet and Tappa, which are her specialities.
