Located in the institutional heart of the city, the space overlooks the tranquil, green neighbourhood of IIM Ahmedabad with institutions like ATIRA, PRL, Ahmedabad Management Association, Gujarat University and CEPT in close vicinity.
Arthshila Ahmedabad houses a curated collection of books, periodicals, digital resources, and films on architecture, design, and visual culture. The collection is available for public access from the library at the centre along with access to digital resources through desktops available on each floor.
The Gallery on the 2nd floor is an exhibition space that hosts interactive curated exhibitions on design, visual culture, and the arts. Open to the public, the space lends itself to many multimedia formats.
The space is designed to host workshops for diverse audiences and caters to a multitude of interests and competencies. The programme at the centre is envisioned to curate collaborative workshops regularly.
The amphitheater can seat 50 to 70 individuals and hosts talks, discussions, small events, film screenings, and occasional performances. It extends itself as an informal meeting space for people.
The Audio-Visual space on the 1st Floor at the centre can seat 1-20 people and is equipped to host film screenings and talks. Individuals or groups of people who wish to screen a film from our collection can get access to the space for a viewing experience.
