About the Film:
Inés comes across the feminist science-fiction short story Sultana’s Dream written in 1905, in which the author Rokeya Hossain reveals Ladyland. Fascinated by the story, Inés embarks on a journey through India searching for the traces of the author and the city of women.

Isabel Herguera is a Spanish animation film director with an international background. In 1997 she founded her own studio Loko Pictures, with which she produced numerous commercials and the animated short The Balloon (2003). Isabel has been a visiting professor at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad since 2005, at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing since 2012, and is currently a professor at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Sultana’s Dream is her first feature film.

Mooo is the rebranded student international moving image festival of the iconic animation festival titled Chitrakatha. In 2007, it was started by Sekhar Mukherjee under mentorship of Isabel Herguera as a unique academic biennial student fest. Mooo will be celebrating a wider variety of storytelling…anything and everything which moves! This edition, which is the 10th of Chitrakatha and the 1.0 edition, as Mooo is going to be a unique academic festival where friends from far & near will join us to make 5 days of fun-filled, thought-provoking, stimulating, creative gaga of storytelling in motion.
