Join us for the opening of the exhibition, 𝗛𝗬𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟: 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲  𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟯𝟭 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 .

To pose the question of the local reflects, no doubt, the vacillations of our time. In its very definition, the term helps frame the potential field of action for contemporary architecture in relation to a long tradition of typology or form-making, and to the possibility of bringing forth new ways of working in the civic realm.

Architecture of the immediate proposes a shift in thinking, from the operative towards the conceptual. What might architectural meaning become when its point of departure is not an abstract idea of place, but a force of the familiar context, language, material and culture?

Through the work and practices of 𝗣𝗞_𝗶𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗶𝗢𝗡, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝟰, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗖 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, the exhibition seeks to enquire into the relationship of architecture and its solidarities with the local in context of India; how it is represented and articulated.

The opening evening will feature a walkthrough and an interactive session with the featuring practices.
