The Gijjigadus & the Fireflies: Storytelling Workshop for Kids

Date: 14 May 2023, Sunday

Time: 11.30 am – 1.00 pm

This retelling of a Telugu folktale is a charming story about the coexistence between fireflies and Baya Weaver birds. The illustrations are detailed and bright. It is an initiation into fantasy but also opens up the world of birds and insects to young children. The session will begin with looking at some books with an interesting art style and end with children creating a piece of art to take back with them. Paper and crayons will be provided to each participant.

Black Out Poetry: A Workshop by That Book Store

The session will include a short discussion on what Black Out Poetry is and how it is used and encourage participants to make their own pieces. All materials will be provided for the session.
